Summer is half way over now and although I am enjoying the time with my kids I know that before long school is going to start and I don't want to be left unprepared. I have started having my kids read at least twenty minutes a day and do math exercises for their grade level. They are all good sports because they all love reading and their math exercises are online math games which is a win-win for all of us.

Friday Funny!

Just got back from girls camp and I have to to say how great it is to belong to a church that everyone freely gives of their time and talents. It was awesome. The girls were great and to my surprise there was no drama! Just fun, friendly smiles everywhere I went. Even after several days of staying up late the girls were great. I loved spending my time with them and feeling the spirit, especially with the Marshall Branch girls. Thanks to all those that made it such a great experience. I feel truly blessed to be surrounded by such great people.

As many of you know that I would like to own a farm/petting zoo. I miss my animals, but this video made me feel better just watching. Death by baby goats doesn't seem like a bad way to go.

Today has been a trying day. All I can say is driving in the car with an almost two year old, who didn't get a nap, for seven hours. She cried for almost three hours straight and my daughter doesn't have a normal cry, she has the inhuman cry of a banshee. I don't even know how to explain it, but I was pretty sure this was going to happen to me on the way home...

My husband and I have been looking for a new house with acreage out in the country. Don't get me wrong I love my house now, but we have a small yard and I want to raise animals again. We found what we thought was the perfect house with a perfect setup online, but discovered the internet service out there is spotty. This sent me into a panic. I love my Internet. I look everything up online from recipes, ideas for my books and of course my Friday Funnies! I really want my hobby farm, but I don't know if I will survive without good Internet service.

Well, We made an appointment to look at the house even considering the internet situation and although it was a lovely home it wasn't what we hoped it would be. On the bright side my Internet is safe for a while longer. I guess my petting zoo will have to wait.

Friday Funny!

All good things must come to an end and I'm sad to say our stay in Utah is over. We will be leaving tomorrow to head back to Missouri, back home. It's interesting how things change. I thought our trip here to see family was going to spark a need to move back, but instead it just confirmed that we are in the right place for our family. I never meant Missouri to become home, but since we have been gone I miss it. I miss my home.

The great thing is my family is in Utah so no matter what my love for them will keep me coming back like a boomerang.

Friday...okay I know it's Sunday, Funny!

Happy Father's Day! I know it's Sunday, but I ended up with a bad headache on Friday evening and went straight to bed and then I was so busy enjoying my Saturday with my husband I simply forgot. I know pretty lame excuse but it's all I have.

I have loved being in Utah with family and I really love that my husband has been able to join us. This Friday Funny is for all the dads out there. I would love to see my husband break down into a dance like this. You should never underestimate a guy with a beard.
